EML celebrated the CUCCIO Collaboration award at our 2023 Summer Showcase, where we presented five projects using creative and emerging media and discussed the use of generative AI in post-secondary learning environments.

On Friday, November 4th and Saturday, November 5th, UBC’s Chan Centre hosts the Games in Action conference: two days of panels, presentations and demos from professional game designers, academics, and gamers. Emerging Media Lab is partnering with Heart Projector, a Vancouver indie games art collective that produces pop-up arcade nights featuring unique games by diverse creators.
