On September 12, EML students and UBC faculty celebrated as they “pushed the boundaries of creativity and reshaped the digital landscape” (according to ChatGPT).
The Chat GPT and AI-themed showcase started off with a discussion led by EML Faculties in Residence Dr. Patrick Pennefather and Jon Festinger, along with a surprise special guest. EML projects were showcased, and faculty members spoke on the inspiration behind bringing emerging technologies into the classroom, with students presenting their successes and obstacles in bringing these projects to life. Finally, attendees got to meet the teams and participate in live demos of the projects.
