It’s been a long time since we hosted a public drop-in demo session, but we’re back!
Have you ever used virtual reality? Are you interested in seeing what UBC students and faculty are creating using immersive 3D software? UBC’s Emerging Media Lab is an experimental space where faculty, students, and staff from all disciplines collaborate with industry and community. Our mission is to evolve learning and research by creating tools and techniques using emerging media such as VR, AR, and machine learning.
At this drop-in demo session, we invite you to learn more about what EML does, how to join us, or even propose your own project. Regardless of your experience with virtual reality, games, or even tech in general, you’ll have the opportunity to talk to EML staff and students, to try out a selection of virtual reality experiences, and even take a look at our latest 2D and 3D projects. No registration is required; stop by any time from 11am to 1pm!
