Date: Wednesday, August 28, 2019| 2:00PM – 5:00PM
Location: Irving K. Barber Learning Center, Vancouver Campus |1961 East Mall
The Emerging Media Lab (EML) is proud to present the annual Summer Showcase, where UBC students, staff and faculty had the opportunity to try prototype EML VR/AR/XR projects, as well as projects from the Hackspace for Innovation and Visualization in Education (HIVE) and UBC IT!
There were also opportunities to meet with the student teams who built the projects. The EML is a campus hub for imagining new ways to use emerging technologies to enhance learning. The showcase is the only place where you’ll walk around an augmented reality brain, conduct a virtual orchestra, and manipulate 3D mathematical functions in VR all in one day. Students, staff, faculty and industry consultants all got to experience our projects and connect with the VR/AR community!
