Fresh from the 2025 MIT Reality Hack, EML is delighted to host award-winning mixed reality creators Phoebe Titus and Jimmy Ding. Join us as they share details of the project, Through Their Eyes. This project is an art driven mixed reality lifestyle app that explores the use of customized corrective filters for people with colourblindness and simulates colourblindness for persons with standard vision. Learn about the process of developing for mixed reality, custom colour filters, and new XR technologies as well as the experience of participating in the MIT Reality Hack. Attendees will have the opportunity to test out Through Their Eyes on Quest 3 headsets after the lecture.

Presenter Bios:
Phoebe Titus is an XR creator, animator and colourist based in Vancouver, BC. In 2019 she began work on the animated, interactive virtual reality piece that would become Hickory Horned Devil, an award winning piece that was completed in 2023 and will be released later in 2025. She’s constantly seeking new ways to break free of the traditional screen and bridge the gap between traditional media and XR media.
Jimmy Ding is an experienced XR developer with a master’s degree in Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, and Computer Aided Design. He has produced a variety of projects and worked with companies like Aquent, Meta, and XRBootcamp. As an entrepreneur, he leads a team of developers to create XR worlds for mixed reality experiences. With decades of programming experience in C++, C#, Python, Java, and JavaScript, he brings technical expertise to his ventures. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jimmy is known as a goofball encyclopedia, always ready to infuse humor into everyday conversations.
