Recap: The EML Fall Showcase 2018
Written by Samantha Peng
Dec. 14, 2018
The Fall Showcase on Nov. 28 invited UBC staff, students and faculty to check out some of our in-progress and recently completed projects. The occasion was also an invitation to visit the new Emerging Media Lab in room IKBLC 183, an exciting milestone for EML.
Thank you to all of our volunteers, work-learns, co-op students, staff, faculty and industry advisors for all of their hard work this term. Without them, this showcase and none of our projects would have been possible.
We would also like to extend a special thanks to our collaborators. Thank you to IKBLC for providing our new space, to CTLT for your support, and to UBC Studios.
With support, we were able to showcase:
- AR Design
- HoloBrain
- HoloBrain WebVR
- Interactive Orchestra
- Journey with Me
- Main Mall Hustle
- Math World
- Museum of Anthropology
- Pocket Pelvis
- Reminiscence Therapy in VR
You can check out these projects and all other projects on our website. If you want to find out more, you can also visit us in our new space in IKBLC 183, which is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays for questions. If you’d like to demo a project, come to our drop-in sessions which is currently from 12 to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays.
