Learning to Visualize Data in Augmented Reality (Workshop)

Presenter:  UBC COGS

Date: Friday, March 8,2019| 5:00-7:00pm

Location: COGS 300 Labs|2329 West Mall

We are teaming up with the UBC Cognitive Systems Society to present this workshop. This workshop will teach how to build an augmented reality app to visualize data in real time.

We’ll be using an autonomous robot (a la COGS 300 labs) as a source for the data. By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to point your phone camera at the robot and see information about the robot superimposed on top of it in the app.

How to Register

The workshop also has limited spaces – registration is open to the first 30 registrants. Register through Eventbrite here.

Requirements

This workshop requires some previous experience working with Unity3D. If you’re new to Unity, we’ll be holding an optional pre-workshop in the COGS lab on March 7th, also 5pm-7pm
